Just returned from my 3rd Laos trip, and hopefully it won't be my last. No two trips have been the same. Different weather conditions and a different group members, but always the same planning and overcoming any obstacles that occur. Jono , Vince and Si are a great team and nothing is too much trouble. The people of this country and the food and hospitality are fabulous. Being of a rather forgetful nature , it was good to have the help and support of the whole group. A fantastic trip, bring on the next one , thank you all.

Well, I always need a couple of weeks returning from a tour to give a balanced assessment. I could easily write pages on this tour but you would all get very bored. In summary Jonathan the owner of the company & our tour leader I cannot praise enough , he really did care about he’s flock 10/10 As a motorbike adventure 10/10. I have biked all over the world with some of the motorbike tour industry leaders & have completed over 25 previous tours & this was as well organised & as good if not better than any tour I have done . Thank you Thank you Jonathan you really did make this tour for everyone. Glenn Gimson

I have just returned from the Laos adventure and it was amazing 😍. We had a brilliant time and Jonathan looked after us so well. Support team Vince and Si were really good and never stopped looking after us and the bikes. Accommodation, food and Lao beer were great. We had a great bunch on the trip and we all got along really well with lots of banter and giggles. Best tour company I have been with!!

Had an incredible time with SBBA. The guides were fantastic and supported us all the way, and a special mention to Jonathan Lee, who looked after everyone every hour—on and off the tour. Great mix of on- and off-road routes, and even with riders in their 70s, everyone could get involved. Unspoilt Vietnam at its best—riding through paddy fields, meeting locals, and even tackling a few mudslides. My off-road skills were basically zero, but I never felt out of my depth. Highly recommend.

My heads only just stopped spinning, what a blinder of a trip! It genuinely felt like a group of bike mates just casually bombing around without a care, stopping for a bite and a table full of freshly cooked food appeared, without the need to agonise over menus with strange names and dishes . No need to worry & plan about fuel range, Tan and Tiger had it all in hand. No need to study maps to find those off the beaten (and flood damaged) tracks that took you into the real Vietnam, and the daily life of rural communities that didn’t want to sell you anything just give you a smile and wave and happily take time to have a giggle and show how rice was really made, Tan, Tiger and team had it handled, not to mention to luxury of taking a huge case and having it delivered ready at a new hotel or home stay each nite. Huge thanks to Jonathan Lee for doing all the hard graft and research to make it all possible for us to drop into country and have a full taster slice of an adventure normally reserved only for those round the world adventure heroes. This is the 2nd SBBA I’ve been on trip and I’m already looking forward to a third, fantastic value and you're in very good hands all the way. Highly recommended!

Just back from an 8 day trip around Northern Vietnam with Jonathan, Tan and Tiger as tour guides and 12 of us as guests. The scenery was amazing, roads were fun, with a few washouts and a lot of landslide debris after heavy floods 2 weeks before. The Honda 150 trail bikes handled everything we threw at them without a hiccup. Everyone got on well and never a bad word or moan from anyone. I think everyone would have turned around at the airport and done again if they could have. Definitely a trip to remember and one I'd recommend for everyone. As the group name says: Small Bikes Big Adventures And it lived up to its name.

5 stars for organisation, route, views, guide (Jonathan), support (mechanic and support truck with snacks and drinks)
However, the trip is definitely more suitable for riders with experience under their belt. I went in as a new rider who had only done smooth tarmac/asphalt. First time I had done off-road and roads with a lot of potholes. There were also mountain passes and travelling on roads shared with ginormous trucks.
Some portions of the route can have technical components as well.
Going in with abit more experience will make the trip a lot more enjoyable - because less panicking or freaking out hahah
However, a big part of the trip is definitely the group that you ride with. On this trip, the guys were great. Encouraging and kind. Like what Simon mentioned, Jonathan was a big part of bringing the group together while being respectful of each individual’s personality (some wanted to just head back early to decompress/cave, others wanted to party and stay out). So there was a lot of freedom to pick and choose your post ride activities.
